Welcome to the virtual headquarters of Company C, First United States Sharpshooters (Berdan's). The First and Second Regiments served in the Eastern Theater of the Civil War from 1861 through early 1865 with the muster out of the final company. We are a Civil War reenactment organization and a member of the National Civil War Association of California. While the company we portray is part of the First Regiment and primarily consisted of soldiers from Michigan, our company's recruits come from Northern and Central California.
